Poor customer service. Don't even get acknowledged

Went into House today and the service, hospitality and staff were fantastic. Great answers to questions and help.

Recently brought a set of two ice trays. Value $12.99. One tray shattered first use. Took items back to get refund. One of the staff saw me coming in with said ice trays in hand and said that only one was broken that they would look at that item. Told her that it was a two piece set which I had given her the card board covering that stated two ice trays. Sales person then informed that they had several returns of the item with the same problem. I was then advised that I needed to pick some from the store to the value of the ice trays. I then picked two items that I really didn't need. I am not a conventional person and I don't know what there company policies are but I should have have asked for a refund. I won't be going back into House again. Brought a ice tray from Kmart for $1.75.t

Spent 10 minutes searching for an item the website said was in stock eventually tried asking the sales person who had been studiously ignoring my presence who then rolled her eyes and snapped that they don't stock the item. Easy now to see why these franchises don't last long.
